Artist Clari Netzer was born in Monterrey, N.L, Mexico. She is the youngest daughter of Rumanian Jews and Holocaust survivors who immigrated to Mexico in mid 1950's.
Clari Netzer discovered her passion for painting and art early. Through informative material and mixing colors she experimented different painting forms and developed her own art techniques.
In Mexico she was attracted by the Primitive Art of different cultures that lived in ancient Mexico, the folklore and Mexican Art History. This influence is considerably noticeable in her artworks and in her activities as an Israeli artist today.
In 1983, after graduation and with a B.A degree in Communication Sciences from the University of Monterrey (UDEM), the artist born in Mexico decided to emigrate to Israel and live the collaborative life at Kibbutz Ein Gev.
As a Kibbutz member, Clari Netzer was active in various positions including major committees and responsible for culture, an area in which she could express her skills and her love for painting and art. For 8 years she lived on Kibbutz Ein Gev. During those years Clari Netzer designed decorative sets for the celebration of Jewish Holidays and Social events, displayed Exhibitions on the Holocaust Day and Bar-Mitzvah ceremonies, and brought color to the collective cultural life.
Early in 1990, with the first signs of privatization in the Kibbutz, Clari Netzer and her family decided to leave Ein Gev and move to Karmiel, a beautiful and developing city in the Galilee.
Over the years, Clari Netzer has worked in various areas, including 11 years as Import and Purchasing Manager for a leading private owned company in worldwide selective cosmetics products.
In 2006 Clari Netzer presented her first Solo Exhibition in the city of Karmiel ant the emerging Israeli Artist was excited by the public's response. Longing to express her desire to develop creative art led her to leave the business career and devote herself to art.
Clari Netzer is now an active Israeli artist. Her paintings are displayed in Exhibitions in Israel and abroad, she is an initiator and coordinates projects for the promotion of Israeli and "Olim" artists and for the community, her workshops provide the artists with online tools for exposure and self-empowerment. She also gives lectures about the life and art of the great Mexican painter Frida Kahlo.
Clari Netzer- Israeli artist born in Mexico, is married and proud mother of three wonderful sons, she is still living with her family in Karmiel and creates in the Galilee under the influence of Mexican art and culture.
