Exhibit of Gavriil Martinovich Glyuk Paintings and Carpathian and Russian Artists of the XX Century.

In commemoration of 65 year of the Soviet Victory over the Nazis.

"Hommage to Glyuk" is an exhibition of artworks having a special artistic and historical value: most of them are paintings created by the Carpathian artists in the 50's, 60's and 70's of the past Century; it is part of the collection of Julius and Vera Hanz-Glyuk (Z"L)- a Jewish couple that emigrated from Czechoslovakia to Venezuela in 1949.

These artists managed to capture in their canvases images of great iconographic value that reflect their surroundings and the spirit of the time. The pictures that were drawn within the tight frame of the socialist realism convey a romantic note of a special kind and show in a sincere way a fascinating life story of the harsh everyday reality. These canvases enable us to observe the beauty of the people, of their costumes and the unforgettable winter and summer scenery of Carpathian and some other areas of the former USSR.

"Color Latino 2009" Exhibit is a group show by Latin American artists in conjuction with the Department of External Relations of the Rishon LeZion Municipality, in the context of improving the relations with Latin America in the fields of art and culture.

This special and festive event marks the 200 Anniversary of the Independence of Latin American nations and the friendly relationship between our countries.

This exhibit is a celebration of art and color, in which a wide variety of plastic artists using different media show their work, such as:painting, sculpture, ceramics and mixed media. The exhibit attemps to create a multi-cultural experience rich in color and styles that connects between the different countries and cultures.

The 27 artists that participate originally come from Argentina, Mexico,Ecuador, Uruguay, Colombia, Chile, Guatemala, Brasil and Peru and are now creating in Israel. Also participate 4 foreign artists specially invited from Mexico and Ecuador.

The exhibition took place in the Center of Performing Arts of Rishon LeZion- December 2009.

Bet Gabriel - 11.7-15.8.2010

"Color Latino" -Bet Gabriel is a modest tribute to Latin American nations marking 200 years of independence, expressing cultural ties between Israel and Latin America.

Group exhibition of Israeli Artists of Latinoamerican origin, guest Artists from Latin America along with original artworks by Latinamericans Artists of the XX Century, which are part of private collections.

"Color Latino"-Bet Gabriel connects different cultures and nations, emerging, professional and prominent Artists having in common Latinamerican roots.

The Exhibition will open on Friday 16.7.10 at 11:30 at Bet Gabriel on the Kinneret with the honorable presence of Mr. Bernardo Greiver, Ambassador of Uruguay in Israel.

Also invited Ambassadors and members of the diplomatic corps of the Latin American Embassies in Israel, public and cultures representatives in Israel.

מטרת היוזמה הינה לפגוש ולהפגיש אמנים ואומנים אשר מאמינים בעצמת, מעוניינים להיחשף ולפתח קריירה בתחום היצירה בו עוסקים

אירוח מפגשים של אמנים בקבוצות קטנות לשיחה, לימוד משותף והעצמה אישית באווירה ביתית. המפגשים יארחו בקבוצות קטנות על כוס קפה, בסלון של תמר בכרמיאל. באמצעות הנחיה, מצגות ופעילויות המשתתפים ייחשפו לנושאים הבוערים למי שחזונו להפוך את עיסוקו בתחום האמנות לעסק.

בכיף יוצרים עסק מאמנות

מפגש הכולל הרצאה ומצגת תמונות על חייה ועבודתה של אחת הנשים המרתקות בעולם האמנות

פרידה קאלו, אמנית נועזת, בעלת אישיות מורכבת אשר שמה את האשה במרכז היצירה,- חשפה את עצמה בציוריה ועסקה בשאלת הזהות והבדלי תרבויות.

התבוננות בציוריה וביומנה מאפשרת לחשוף את המשמעויות המורכבות המרתקות של אמנותה, של כתביה ושל סיפור חייה

המפגש מיועד לפעילות ועדי עובדים, חוגי בית, מפגשי נשים, מגמות אמנות וקהל אוהב אמנות.

המפגש אורך כשעה וחצי בו ניתן הצצה ל: תקציר חייה של קאלו השפעות סביבתיות ותקופתיות, חייה ליד בעלה דיאגו ריברה, עדויות מהיומן של פרידה קאלו והסברים על כמה מהציורים המפורסמים שלה.
